Heron Fest: Flight Sequences on the Chattahoochee

HERON FEST:

A front-row seat to Georgia’s wildlife in crisp, high-res detail.

I'm starting to navigate this new life outside of Facebook with the blog, and after doing a lot of research lately, I think I’ve finally found a better way for you guys to view multiple photos—more like a classic Facebook post. The last blog post I put up was my first run at it, and I didn't realize there were better options available than just sending four tiny photos.

✨ Viewing Tip:Click the "View Full Gallery" button below to see these flight sequences and high-res close-ups in full resolution, completely bypassing the restricted layout!

Passion Creates Progress - Soberglass photography

This should be a much better experience, featuring a direct button out to a full gallery that I can now share with you all. With that, I shall now invite you all to Heron Fest. All of these photos were taken in May 2026 throughout various trips out to the Chattahoochee River and a couple of other local locations here in Georgia. There are some really incredible, detailed shots and close-ups in this set. Continuing to practice and dial in my new Sony setup, I've also been able to capture some pretty awesome flight sequences.
